The Young Executive Program is a dynamic and intensive 3-months learning experience designed to equip young graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today's workplace. Consisting of four comprehensive modules, this program offers a unique and transformative journey that prepares participants for the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in their professional lives.
The YEP is a flagship employability program by Bet9ja Foundation, an initiative to tackle the high rate of unemployment amongst Nigerian youths and promote greater economic empowerment for young people in Local communities focused on three pillars: Entrepreneurship, Employability and Leadership.
Program Modules
This module during the 2-day Masterclass Session focuses on developing essential employability skills such as effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, and adaptability, to enhance participants' readiness for the workplace. This module includes career clinic that covers Free CV Review and Assessment Session.
This module during the 2-day Masterclass Session, Participants will acquire the knowledge and skills required to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, including innovative thinking, business planning, market analysis, and risk management, empowering them to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. This module will provide selected graduates with Business startup Box (Registering a business, free startup business website and other benefits).
Through virtual mentorship sessions, participants will have the opportunity to connect with experienced professionals who will provide guidance, share industry insights, and offer personalized advice to support their career development.
This module offers selected participants the chance to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting through an internship placement, enabling them to gain practical experience, network with professionals, and enhance their professional portfolios. Internship program will span 4 to 8 weeks depending on internship partner.

Who can apply:
Eligibility Criteria
- Be between 21 to 30 years of age or 21 to 35 for persons with disabilities.
- Nigerian Graduate within the last 2 years.
- Ability to travel to training and placement.
- Must be fluent in both verbal and written English.
Program Timeline
- Application Opens: August 8th
- Applications Closes: September 15th
- Participants Notified: September 20th
- Program Commences: September 25th
The target of the program is to reach 200 participants. We are running 2 days live masterclasses across 4 locations (Lagos, Benin, Abuja & Enugu) combined with Virtual Mentorship sessions with selected Executives and Professionals as well as Internship Placements for selected participants in partner companies/organisations.
